Lampwork - Molten Glass 
Thursday Evenings
Oct 22nd, 29th, Nov 5th, 12th,
6:30 – 8:30 pm 
(4 weeks)
 $80 (est. $20 materials fee payable during class) 
  
Instructor: Erno Keskeney

 During this class students will learn how to melt soft glass onto a mandrel, how to set up a small bead making studio, and how to manipulate hot glass to make beads. Students will have the opportunity to make several beads to take home. Come and experience the magic of hot molten glass.

"The Art of African Style"
African Headwraps

African textiles, and other ethnic fabric patterns, have become high fashion in recent years, and   are ubiquitous today, not only in home décor but also in every facet of world cultures.  One way these patterns and fabrics are being seen is in the inventive and stylish women's accessories as headwrap and turbans.

Join us for the Art of African Style and learn how to tie six headwrap and turban styles, and how to rock them for every occasion!   
Students will receive instructional booklet at the end of the session.
Materials needed:
*1 six yard length of fabric, (print or solid color)
or  2- three yard lengths of fabric, 
or 1 regular scarf, 36” x 36” (or any square head scarf)

*Ponytail rubbers, Bobby pins

Optional:  any other pieces of fabric, scarves, table scarf, or pareo.

Direct Mosaic

Wednesday Evenings

Instructor:  Michelle Masitis
Cost:  $60  

This course in direct mosaic technique is designed for beginners.   Learn the art of applying tesserae (Ceramic tile, vitreous glass tile, stained glass, broken china and pottery, glass beads, shells, pebbles, and jewelry) to an object (wood, terracotta, glass, etc – almost any non-flexible surface) to create your personalized mosaic art.  Students will be designing and creating a mosaic picture frame.  All materials will be provided – including the picture frame, stained glass, adhesive, grout and sealer.  Students are invited to bring other items to apply to their frame including flat marbles, broken dishes, jewelry, etc.
